Freemasons honour the fallen at Fleetwood
8th November 2015

Fleetwood Masons laid wreaths at the town’s Cenotaph in remembrance of the ultimate sacrifice made by brethren who have fallen in conflicts ranging from the Great War to Afghanistan and whose actions have kept our nation safe and who we have to thank for defending our freedom.

Mark and Craft Masons together took the opportunity to join representatives of the Armed Forces, Civic Dignitaries, and many other Fleetwood organisations all unmindful of very inclement weather, to turn out in strength to pause to silently reflect on, and commemorate the loss of life in conflicts large and small over the last century.
The wreath from the Mark degree joins others at the base of the Cenotaph.
Hundreds of townspeople gathered to watch the Remembrance Sunday service and parade which was led, despite teeming November rain, by Fleetwood Sea Cadets Old Boys Band.
